Tyson joined Horizon in September 2025 and works in the Edmonton office focusing on providing professional level bookkeeping, tax, and business advice to a variety of clients.

Growing up on a farm outside of Evansburg attending Grand Trunk High School, after completing high school he attended N.A.I.T obtaining his Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting.

Tyson has worked between private and public accounting jobs, starting his accounting career at a public accounting firm in downtown Edmonton. This helped build a solid foundation in preparing compilations and providing business advice to help up and coming business succeed in various industries. Switching to a private company in 2022, Tyson was able to gain experience from the other side and understand what it takes to successfully run a business and how proper accounting can be used to make proper financial decisions.

Tyson lives in South Edmonton with his wife and 2 kids. If he’s not spending time with his family, you will find him playing board/video games, sports (Soccer, Hockey, Volleyball, Golf), or anything you can compete with friends.
